Menifee Pony Baseball

Alliance Division (SIBA)

Menifee PONY is proud to be one of the founding members of the Southwest Interleague Baseball Alliance (SIBA), a joint effort of four neighboring PONY leagues (Temecula, Murrieta, French Valley and Menifee) to form an official PONY league for travel baseball teams within our communities.  Each league has their own division name for their SIBA teams, we call ours 'Alliance Division'.  These teams are not formed by the league or are a part of the regular recreational divisions, though Menifee PONY Alliance teams will share our fields and facilities and still be considered a part of Menifee PONY.  By including the Alliance teams within the Menifee Pony organization, we retain talented players who have often grown and developed within Menifee Pony, still may have siblings and friends in Menifee Pony, and would like to be a part of our baseball community while still getting some of the "travel ball" experience.  Please contact the Alliance Division Director if you would like to get more information.

Menifee Pony Alliance Summary:
  • Pre-formed teams (8u to 15u) playing against teams from Menifee, Canyon Hills, Temecula, Murrieta, and French Valley
  • Minimum of 1 regular season game per week (on average)
  • End-of-Season Playoff Tournament
  • All-star eligibility in spring (as a team, but other requirements do apply)
  • No team insurance necessary, all Menifee Pony registered players are covered by league insurance
*Details may be different in the fall season, contact league

NOTE on PRACTICE TIME: In past seasons we have not offered practice time to our Alliance/SIBA teams.  This season we are giving our Alliance teams two options. First option is a games-only season, no practice time is provided.  Second option is games plus one practice per week.  Practices will be for two hours, but due to our very limited field allocation from the parks departments on town, Alliance teams will be treated just like our rec teams are, as far as practices are concerned.  Practice time will be for two hours.  In many cases your team will have to do warmups and drills for the first half-hour in the outfield grass before taking the field.  In many cases your team will also have another team in the outfield grass warming up for your last half hour.  At minimum, you will have the infield for 1.5 hours per practice, and the entire field for 1 to 1.5 hours.  If you are flexible and able to start at 4pm, or practice up till 9:30pm, or practice on Fridays, or want Saturday time, it's often possible for us to get your more time, or at least more time to yourself.

The Alliance season (including playoffs) will include at least 15-games, with 13 of those being guaranteed (or we'll give you a prorated refund), weekdays only.
